The Djadochta formation is dune desert environment from Cretaceous Mongolia. Home to the infamous Velociraptor, the real animal was a much humbler, roadrunner-like animal than what is typically imagined. Boasting a mighty height of almost two feet, Velociraptor stumbles across some possible prey items.

The rabbit-like Zalambdalestes, the fleet-footed Kryptobaatar, and the altricial young of the intimidating Protoceratops.

The extended animatic featured many more denizens of the desert, but was cut out early on. Although the sandstorm was sadly among the content pruned away, the pacing and concept ended more concise because of it. Extras, in order, are Shuvuuia, Oviraptor, and Citipati.
