These mockups were created as an exercise in graphic design, utilizing pre existing media, to create a product with an expected appearance. A magazine, in other words, should look like a magazine at a glance. 

​

Utilizing creative commons images to display the back cover, and a reworking of a digital painting I had produced separately for the front, the piece came together as a child-friendly, but also higher-level reading of geology, biology, and paleontology. The goal was to, at a glance, be perceived as such. Not too watered down for older kids, but also to come across as a hobby level interest as opposed to an academic one.
